Governor McAuliffe has recognized October 16-20, 2017, as National School Bus Safety Week and October 18, 2017, as School Bus Transportation Employees Appreciation Day in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Virginia has an excellent public school pupil transportation safety record and the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) would like to thank all pupil transportation staff of Virginia’s school divisions for their work in providing safe and secure transportation to the school children of Virginia.
